Pot culture is the simplest form of hydroponics and involves the use of an inert medium such as perlite or greenmix in a plastic pot in place of soil. Despite the ease of using this system, do not make the mistake of under-estimating it. Incredible results have been achieved with flowering plants and vegetables and it is an ideal first step away from all the problems of soil.
If you are using pot culture for foliage plants only, you will be well suited with a single pack nutrient solution such as Formulex. However, if you wish to grow flowers or vegetables, you should consider using a twin or triple pack nutrient solution such as Optimum, Power Gro, Ionic or GH Flora range.
