A recycling system. Sometimes called Ebb and Flow. This system normally consists of potted plants or plants in cubes being placed on shallow self draining trays.

The trays are flooded intermittently or according to a program, the media saturated and the excess being permitted to either flow back to the bulk plants in the system can occur.
